Language course scholarship

Assyriologists translate from languages that are more than several thousand years old. Nonetheless, the conversations about new research take place in modern tongues – which also need to be studied. For this reason, each year we will award a scholarship for the four-week International Summer School of German Language and Culture at the Heidelberg University, during which you will be able to improve your German skills. The language course should enable you to apply to one of our other programmes.

The scholarship covers only the participation fee for the German language course. Accommodation and travel costs will only be subsidised partially.
